Happy Monday! I’m now less than a week away from my down Southern road trip. On our itinerary is a visit to one my best friends in Athens, Georgia, followed by Atlanta. Not sure if we’ll make it the World of Coca Cola or the massive aquarium, but we do plan to visit a few craft breweries, see a few historic sites and enjoy delicious food. After that we’re driving to NOLA, New Orleans that is, with a quick stop in my dad’s hometown of Mobile, Alabama. I visited New Orleans over 10 years ago. I love the and can’t wait enjoy the cuisine, nightlife and architecture all over again. After a few days there, we’re heading to Austin for the last leg of our trip. My husband is planning to eat as much bbq as humanly possible and I will not get in his way.
We started building an itinerary a few weeks back and have a long list of interests. It’s still in the organizing phase, but we have the must-see list ready to go for the most part. Please send your suggestions in the comments below. I would love to hear your recommendations!
