Hello everyone! Before we get to the goods, here’s an update on what the heck I’ve been doing this week :)
This week has been pretty busy offline and I have a few updates coming up. First, I am the newest contributor to Houzz.com! If you’re unfamiliar, it is an amazing resource for finding great home decor and renovation ideas. As a contributor, I will photograph and write about beautiful homes in the Bay Area and a little bit of LA too. If you live in either area and would love to have your house or apartment featured, send an email to hello@planningpretty.com. I would love to see quick snapshots and pitch to my editor. I completed my first feature this week (thank you Ana!) and will be sure to share when the article goes live.
For the past couple of months I’ve thought a lot about how I want Planning Pretty to progress. One big idea I’ve had on my mind for a while is video. Sometimes I want to share an idea with all of you and photographs with text just won’t work. I’ve already shot my first test photo, it’s like a commercial for the blog, and I can’t wait to share it! More videos on decorating, entertaining and baking will come soon!
And finally my last big change is a redesign! I’ve spent most of my time working on this and it’s been one heck of a challenge, but I’m getting close. Nothing too drastic, but a lot of improvements in the navigation and overall functionality. My goal is to create an easier experience for you, the reader, to find great inspiration and advice. Stay tuned!
Enough with the updates and onto the shopping! I am always excited for the Nordstrom anniversary sale. Last year I shared how it was my favorite place to do back to school shopping growing up. Even though I’m far past my school days, I still get a kick out of snagging my favorite fashions and accessories for the fall and winter. Just click on the numbers below to see the products!
