The one thing I miss most about being a student is the back to school shopping. I loved that the Nordstroms sale was always right before school year. I always picked up a fresh schoolbag, pencil box, and tons of gel pens. Yes I was that girl!
Now I find myself inventing occasions to browse for a new wardrobe. But the arrival of a new season always works perfectly as an excuse. What I can I say, I love to shop!
So with fall just around the corner, I’m feeling a little inspired by my old school uniform days. Funny how much I hated wearing uniforms in middle school, but now I want the look of a pleated skirt and cute sweater.

I love the scottie sweater from C.Wonder. I’m so happy that this animals on clothing trend popped up. And while I can’t find a yorkie sweater, a scottie is just as cute.
Pleated skirts are perfect for fall, although I’ll probably have to wear leggings in SF. I’m planning to buy a couple, plus practice sewing again!
And the oxfords. I have been searching for small heel in grey like this for sooo long. I’m so picky when it comes to shoes, I really have to love it at first sight. I just love the color grey in general, always have. I’m noticing a lot of grey and red coming into my closet this season.
One challenge I always have is forgetting to accessorize. Usually it’s because I’m rushing out the door and completely fly by all the scarves, jewelry and headbands. Which terrible because I love adding pops of color and details to anything. Maybe I should stick a big reminder by the front door.
