Here’s another wonderful post from my dear friend Jasmine, she’s been a lifesaver this summer!!
Hello, everyone! With summer winding down, it’s time to look forward to the next season (which happens to be my favorite): fall!
The cool of autumn hasn’t quite settled in down South, but that still hasn’t stopped me from thinking about fall fashion! Fall is my favorite time of year, and although I’m not in school, I still get the urge to shop around this time. I love classic, ladylike styles, and Camille and I both think of Audrey Hepburn as the perfect icon in that regard. In thinking of ways to incorporate her look into a fall wardrobe, I immediately thought of her black cigarette pants, or skinny ankle pants. There are many ways to style such a piece; but for the sake of channeling classic Audrey, I decided to go for a more literal interpretation.

When it comes to fall fashion, a long-sleeve tee is a staple. The Breton stripe is a timeless, nautically-inspired pattern that will never go out of style! The boatneck on this top also adds a feminine touch.
Black ankle pants will be a versatile addition to my wardrobe. Finding pants that fit and feel great can be a challenge because everyone is shaped differently! Also, when it comes to cropped pants, finding the perfect length to suit your height and sense of style can be tricky. I suggest browsing around before deciding which pair works best for you! I know I’ve been looking around for ages myself.
Shoes are another item that often require relentless searching! Personally, I think shoes with more of a pointed toe go best with a look like this one. Almond toes are a great alternative to sharp points, and a black leather flat like these Steve Maddens go with a variety of different outfits and could easily become a go-to shoe for the rest of the season.
Accessories are a great way to add a personal touch to a look. With a classic look in neutral colors like this, you can accessorize in any way that suits your personal taste! I am a fan of scarves during fall and winter, so I decided to add one here with matching rose studs, as well as a classic trenchcoat and bag. I tend to be more understated when it comes to my color palette and accessories, but don’t feel like you have to limit yourself if you enjoy bright colors or want to add a modern or trendy touch to update this look!
