Happy Friday everyone! I’m heading south again to Los Angeles for Mother’s Day and a graduation. Frankly I don’t mind traveling again because the weather in the Bay Area has been real crummy. The day I shot the outdoor entertaining post it was so windy, we nearly froze. I can’t wait for sunnier skies and a chance to actually wear what I bought from the Lilly for Target collection! Once I return from the trip south, I’m gearing up for another workshop with my friend Ana again. This time we’re combining our Instagram tips with a flower arranging workshop! We’re hosting the class at Tina Frey Design’s studio in San Francisco’s Dogpatch neighborhood on May 30th. You can learn all about the event on our course page! You may be thinking, not another flower workshop in San Francisco. Trust me we’re totally different and our class is a lot more affordable too! We refuse to charge more than we would be willing to pay ourselves.
Ana has a wonderful Instagram account that’s constantly growing. If you’ve ever wanted to experience San Francisco from your phone, follow her. As you may have noticed, I have a strong affinity for flowers. I’m not formally trained, nor claim to be an expert. I create simple arrangements made from affordable flowers that are meant to be completely achievable by the everyday woman. For the workshop we’re going to use flowers you can find at the local market, not buds you have to special order from a flower supplier. We want attendees to be able to recreate their designs from class.
Ana and I got together last month to play with Tina Frey vase that all attendees will receive. Took all the photos shown above :) We have two very different flower styles: I’m a little more classic and Ana modern. Both of us love whimsy. During the workshop, we will give an example of each and let everyone practice on their own. Then, follow up with helpful tips for building a consistent style and following on Instagram.
If you’re interested in attending, grab a seat soon. I plan to sneak in a few peonies as long as they stay in season! Our first workshop/brunch with Feastly sold out and there were a few folks on the waitlist. This time we’re hoping teach an engaging crowd of flower and Instagram lovers.
