A lot of you know me as an aspiring pastry chef. I’ve baked for your parties, shared my new creations, or attempted to make complex recipes feel easy for you. Some of you even think I’m enrolled in pastry school right now, yep sorry we saved instead.
Others think I’m a budding decorator. You are constantly watching to see what furniture or decor I pin next. You may have even asked me to help with a decor problem in your home. I’m not professionally trained, but I seem to have a slight knack for it.
Then there’s the rest of the world. They see the Harvard degree, the wedding ring, no paycheck and come up with all sorts of theories about me.
This is why I created Planning Pretty. To provide an outlet for my ideas that usually stay trapped in Notes on my iPhone. But, it’s also to create a better understanding of who I am, you know clear the rumors. To share what I hope might help someone stuck planning something, somewhere. Having a blog is tough. You want approval and to rebel at the same time. It’s confusing. And, I think it’s tough for a lot of people to understand that.
I appreciate everyone who has supported this during my first month. I’m learning to be less hard on myself, yet more focused. I am grateful for any sliver of persuasion I’ve been able to accomplish. Nothing is perfect, and I hope in creating this blog more self-discovery may arise.
So, you may see quite the hodgepodge of topics on this blog, because I have quite the hodgepodge of interests. Did I mention that I love shopping? Yes, you’ll see a lot of that here too.
I hope that you will continue to read and share my blog with others. I promise to be nothing but honest at all times :)
