Cheers to Sunday! I hope everyone is spending the day relaxing and resting. Today’s Sunday Table series is a photoshoot I’ve wanted to do for a while. I love tea parties. My birthday was just a couple weeks ago. Even though I turned 28, the idea of a whimsical birthday tea is still my idea of a perfect party. I had so much fun styling this table today with props from Oh Joy for Target, my wedding tea set and beautiful flowers from my local florist. This ranunculus and anemone flower arrangement only took 15 minutes complete!
The mood of the table is playful elegance. Very much inspired by my love of the tea party scene from Alice in Wonderland. I used a simplified color palette of mint, pink, white and gold. The polka dot rose tea set is the star of the table setting. A giraffe, hedgehog and mouse are the table hosts and parade proudly down the center of the table. Handwritten calligraphy place cards tell each guest where to sit for tea. A cake stand is ready for a homemade cake and there is a card, a party hat and small bouquet for the birthday girl. It’s an intimate party for just the closest of friends.
Hope you enjoyed and a very merry unbirthday to you! Stay tuned for the next Sunday Table photo series.
