Hi everyone! I took a break last week, but I’m back with another Sunday Table. Lately, I’ve been very inspired by the classic blue and white palette. To me it represents the Mediterranean Sea and it’s wonderful culture. I love the handmade tiles of Capri, detailed linens and beautiful Venetian glassware that can be found in that region. I’ve collected vintage lace, glasses and marble pieces over the years. Today’s table is one of the first times I’ve brought all those pieces together.
The setting is a Sunday luncheon at home. Simple white dishes, lace doilies, and bowls for a simple soup + salad luncheon. There’s a marble cheese board for charcuterie and antique silver boat for serving salad dressing. Lemon candies are on the table as a special treat to be enjoyed along with the limoncello in Venetian port glasses. Yellow crespedia and trimmed boxwood topiaries adorn the table instead of showy flowers. Blue Moroccan tea glasses from across the Mediterranean sit at each place setting. All on top a simple table cloth as blue as deep sea.
