Hello to spring! Have I mentioned how much I love this season? Pastels, baby animals, flowers need I say more! And one of my favorite holidays is coming up Easter! Last week I shared my super easy ombrè eggs. Really you can do any color scheme you’d like. In fact I used my eggs for this lovely photo-shoot.
If you’re planning to host an Easter or festive spring event don’t feel pressured to buy all new dinnerware! Coordinate your favorite pieces you already own and if need buy a few accents to spice up the table setting.
As you can tell, my favorite colors are turquoise and pink in all shades. So, I had a lot of pieces already and just “curated” my favorites for this table setting. Now if you don’t have dishes or serve-ware in a spring colors, don’t worry! The easiest way you can make any style suitable for spring is to add fresh flowers!
It’s important to have a little surprise at each place setting, just something you don’t always see. I decided to place one of my decorated eggs in a cute dish from Worldmarket. I also filled little jars with jelly beans that would could a favor for guests. Whatever you decide make sure it ties in with your event’s theme and will bring a smile to someone’s face.
Location is large factor in hosting a brunch or spring event as well. If the weather is nice, definitely head outdoors. Why not try a rooftop terrace? Your table setting will look beautiful in natural light. Be careful if it is windy, especially tall vases or champagne flutes. If the weather isn’t too great, allow as much light via window as possible. Spring is all about brightness and joy!
Don’t forget a centerpiece! I love multiple piece centerpieces as shown above. I like to split my bouquets into several bud vases. It’s a great way to spend less, but make a table full and inviting. Serving platters or pitchers function as centerpieces too. Also, I found the cute little birds and nest material at Michaels then added my dyed eggs!
Are you planning to throw an Easter or spring party? Have you created a menu or color scheme? Whatever you do plan, your guests will be grateful and enjoy your company!
P.S. Several of the pieces shown are no longer available or were vintage finds, but if you have a question about an item let me know :)
