Hello everyone!
I hope the new year is treating you all well. It’s always an interesting time, the month of January. We setup resolutions, goals, intentions, etc. and are putting as much hope as possible into actualizing these dreams. Sometimes we stress ourselves out and then learn to be kinder to ourselves. I’ve already gone through this cycle in these two short weeks of 2015. My goals didn’t change per say, but my approach to accomplishing them is shifting. You’ll notice the shift on my blog, it started towards the end of 2014, of striving for quality over quantity. A lot of creatives fall prey to the quantity game. I know that my work will suffer if I focus on churning out posts everyday rather than projects that are meaningful to me. I want anything that appears on Planning Pretty to be an authentic representation of myself.
I’m currently looking for new ways to keep you all entertain while being authentic to who I am and my goals. I’m not quite ready to share my goals with all of you, but know that they consist of plans to expand myself and brand into other avenues. The blog will always exist and continue to be the platform for me to share and teach.

And now for Valentines Day! This week I’m spending time brainstorming, accumulating supplies/props and towards the end of the week photoshoots. I wanted to share a little of the inspiration for some of my upcoming styling projects + posts. I hope these get you excited for the holiday too, whether it’s a day of romance or friendship.
Weren’t those adorable! This is one my favorite holidays because I love all the cute hearts, pink and sparkles. Sorry, I can be a girly girl sometimes :)
If you haven’t already, be sure to enter the giveaway I’m hosting for $100 gift card to Walmart. You can recreate the vintage style bookcase I created using the gift card!
