Today I thought it was time to share another little update for Planning Pretty HQ. I’ve spent the past few weeks doing a lot of planning, choosing decor (not done yet), but also working in the space. I have my desk and a couple storage ottomans that need new fabric. My paint just arrived yesterday from Devine Color and I’m picking up a few super functional pieces from IKEA later this week. Hooray for more storage!
Until my paint and storage are completed, I am enjoying keeping my desk neat and tidy. I still have a lot of great mint desk accessories from poppin that moved over from my home. There are enough pens and pencils for an entire classroom. Gosh I love office supplies. I keep my headphones within reach and my bkr + tumbler handy too. Yes I do seem to have an obsession with mint/aqua but that’s from way before it was cool :)
I found this adorable pair of headphones at Target a few months back for $5! They were in the deceptively awesome value section in the front. Seriously. I love all the fancy headphones out there but I really wanted something in my favorite color, the right shade too. They are comfortable and sturdy. I just can’t bring myself to spend $300 on headphones right now, sorry. I’d rather buy furniture, clothes or a plane ticket!
My Day Designer keeps my life in order. I never leave this planner at home. It maintains my to do lists, schedule, thoughts and goals. I love a good planner and this was well worth the cost.
Some folks can’t live with out their coffee, well I can’t leave without my tea. My first purchase for the studio was this electric tea kettle by Bella. It went on sale at Target at the perfect time. It’s beautiful, ceramic and easy to use. I drink about three cups a day and no longer have to run to Starbucks all the time!
My little gold pouch makes it easy for me to transport small office supplies back and forth. I’m really particular about using the same pen in certain notebooks. Lol, yes I know… I do color coordinate everything.
Keeping everything conveniently neat on my desk makes getting work done so much easier. I may make a few changes to my desk once the other decor is setup, but for now I am quite happy!
My next big piece of furniture coming in is the Norden gateleg table. It’s going to double as a meeting table, dining table for shoots and craft table. Last week I shared a few products that work great in small dining spaces inspired by the gateleg table design. Check it out on Casa and Company!
More studio updates coming soon as progress ensues :)
