Hello readers! After months of working on my little Oakland studio, Planning Pretty HQ, the reveal is finally live on Domino.com! This 150 square foot office was the solution to my overcrowded one-bedroom apartment. I had a small office enclave, but with no natural light and a shortage on storage, I started looking for spaces. I was lucky to find a charming and historic beaux arts building just down the street with a beautiful garden. Planning Pretty studio was born! I have somewhere to go everyday and that makes being an entrepreneur a lot more convincing to myself and others.
Domino magazine has been my guide while defining my taste and style. I love the carefully curated pages of this magazine and was so glad when it made comeback last year. I’m honored to have my studio on on Domino.com. The editors titled my studio reveal ” a whimsical office makeover” and I couldn’t agree more. The Planning Pretty style, or my style really, is a combination of playfulness and elegance. I pull my love of flowers, lace, and precious metals with Hello Kitty, Disneyland and children’s stories. My studio is the first space to truly call my own. I never had my own apartment before marriage and so I didn’t have the chance to decorate a girly oasis. Thus, pink was my first design decision for this space :)
So please, enjoy the reveal with Domino Magazine. I will post again with details for all the sources to the decor in my studio. That way if any of you want to recreate the look, you’ll know where to go! You can read my past posts on my studio progress for ideas and a look at my process.
