It’s that time of year again. Every holiday season I am swarmed in cookbooks, baking tools and covered in flour. It’s a tradition of mine to go on a baking marathon during the holidays. I wear myself out, to be honest, and by the time Christmas comes around but I love sharing my desserts. I usually bake as much as I can a couple days before the holiday and then drive down to Los Angeles for family celebrations.
This year I have to be organized and that’s why I’ve created a much more organized setup in my kitchen thanks to Poppin! They have so many organization products that go beyond just organizing your desk. Before, I’d have to go back and forth to my study for cookbooks. Then the cookbooks would end up spread all over the counter, completely in the way and in danger of getting covered in batter, sauces, flour, you name it.

My other baking organization issue also involves spilling ingredients. Sometimes I use recipes from online or scanned from a borrowed cookbook. The printouts always get damaged somehow. I spill cocoa powder, milk, and syrups and suddenly I can tell if the “2” is a “3”. My husband uses almost entirely printout recipes, especially for beer making, and always spills something.
To protect my paper recipes, I place the printouts into Poppin’s zip folios! I can spill whatever I want all over the counter, my recipes won’t get ruined and I’m able to see through the transparent folder. It’s perfect when my hands are covered in dough or frosting!
My other challenge is the aftermath of holiday decor. Each year we add to our personal collection or my prop collection. I run out of storage boxes or bags that will safely preserve my decor for next year. So I stocked up on Poppin’s fabric storage boxes! Once New Year’s Day passes, I’ll have plenty of storage to preserve my precious ornaments, stockings, and garlands.
My kitchen will no longer be a chaotic mess during the holidays. I can keep all my cookbooks handy, protect my recipes from spills and then have the perfect place to store all my holiday decor for the year.
