So excited to say we’re finished with the hard part of renovating this bedroom. I took great pleasure in deep cleaning the floor and getting all the tools out of the room! We are finally at a point where we can see the transformation. The room feels so much lighter and I enjoy adding touches of whimsy to make it a children’s room.
I spent a long time searching for decor. So many really cute accessories just didn’t fit into our budget. I love a lot of the decor and toys from Sweden, Denmark, Germany and France. I purchased a few things online like the adorable mushroom nightlight made in Germany and the mushroom storage basket from Anthropologie. One of my other favorite places to shop for children’s things is Zara. It’s affordable and they have a great home collection as well. I found all the bedding at Zara Home. Also, H&M home has great options too and at a price point that works for us. Their inventory sells pretty fast but they have great options for hooks, wall accessories, rugs and baskets.
So what’s left for the last week of the One Room Challenge? I still need to get a rug (face palm). It’s something I tried to get sponsored, but to no avail. I also wasn’t sure about what shape I wanted for the rug. We debated a runner between the beds, circular at the foot of the beds or just traditional rectangle like the floor plan a shared a few weeks back. Also a vintage dresser, which shouldn’t be too hard to find especially at the Long Beach flea this weekend. I needed to see everything set up at this point to get a better sense of what will fit. Wish me luck as we wrap. up this project!
And remember to see the other great projects onto One Room Challenge blog! Thank you for supporting our projects.
