Hello and happy hump day! I hope everyone had a wonderful three-day weekend, Mardi Gras or it’s too freakin’ cold to go outside staycation. I didn’t take Monday off, but sort of took Tuesday off (I’m terrible at taking breaks). I’m still working on that whole work-life balance thing.
I did finally have a chance to look over the February issue of Architectural Digest during some down time. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen grace the cover and when I reached their section, man! I love the decor. The blend of masculine and feminine lines and patterns is quite beautiful. I wanted to share a few of the images with all of you too. I seriously want everything in navy now!
I am so in love with their kitchen!. The barstools are eye-catching and the dark greyish toned wood cabinets look so polished and sophisticated. This entire house is sophisticated of course! Each room mixes dainty details with very tailored accents and prevents the home from feeling girly or like a bachelor pad. It’s always a challenge for couples to blend their tastes and decor styles.
My husband and I still struggle to agree on home decor. Certain colors like navy or grey are easily agreed upon, but then I want to add a pop of pink. Hence the disagreement begins. We both looked at this space and thought, hey something like that could work!
Now I’m not a huge fan of the bedroom, but definitely appreciate the artisanship and beautiful design. I prefer softer tones, whiter shades where I rest. This is still very zen, peaceful with soothing colors and natural tones of brown green and calming purples.
Gosh aren’t they cute! So happy to see them on the cover. I can’t wait to read through March’s issue with Nate Berkus and his partner on the cover. I always scavenged over his products at Target!
