One of my resolutions is to finish decorating my living room. The major pieces are all there, but it’s the one room that I haven’t added many details. I’m still in the brainstorming phase (my style concept has changed many times), but the images above illustrate the overall style I’m going for. My husband is amazing for not complaining about these ideas! Our bedroom, bath and dining room all have subtle French & vintage elements. I’m hoping to tie in more (already have a cute chair!) to the living room. I love grey and cream with just hints of reds and pinks!
My ideas for turning my living room into a beautiful space starts with adding pillows. Our sofa needs color, in my opinion. Since I haven’t found pillows I love (or at a price I love), I’m planning to sew a few of my own with my new sewing machine. Very excited to put it to use!
As you can see we have quite a long way to go! It looks so empty with all the Christmas decor put away. I’ve moved the furniture around a few ways and will ultimately decided once more pieces are in place. A coffee table is a major hold up because of my pickiness for pretty and affordability.
I’ll share photos of our other rooms in future posts. They are way closer to completion. We focused our decorating energy on our bedroom, dining room and fabulous office! The living room left us a little stumped, style-wise, so we concentrated on function first!
Doubles as a living room and guest room when family visits. The most comfortable sofa bed I’ve ever slept on from Pier One.
I’ll have a digital mock-up of my design ideas soon, as I continue to look for the perfect additions!
