Over the weekend I browsed through the newest Ikea catalog and thought I’d share my favorite looks! Some of the new products are already in store and the rest will hit the showroom early August. The new catalog is already online so you can preview and make lots of shopping lists ahead of time. I downloaded the Ikea app which lets you digitally interact with the catalog and save your favorite products. It links right to Ikea site where you can check the availability at your local store. Talk about convenience! I know a few people in the midst of moving-in and redecorating so this should help with some of the planning.
Aren’t these bright yellow sofas fun! There is never a shortage of color in this store. If you’re ever looking for something to really brighten up your space and add a pop of color, take a stroll through Ikea. Even you don’t find the exact color you want, purchase a similar product in white and paint later! Ana’s home tour from yesterday’s post has wonderful examples of painted Ikea furniture.
I’ve always been advocate of Ikea storage products. Whether you’re in need of shelving, cabinets or a media center, there are so many affordable options. Storage can cost a mini fortune at other stores. If you’re a renter, it’s hard to invest in expensive storage pieces that may not fit in your next home.
I think this room is absolutely adorable. I love all white spaces with just a little bit of bold color on a single item like the Duken bed (this color is not available yet).
I always joke with my husband about converting an entire room into a closet. Who wouldn’t love an entire space dedicated to shoes, purses, dresses and make up? I love the idea of doubling up on the Hemnes dressing table. It’s a reminder of the many ways you can innovate new pieces with Ikea furniture. You don’t have to use an item exactly as intended. Mix and match parts and pieces to create what will work best for you and your space. Treat the Ikea store like a giant bin of legos!
There are so many great ideas in the new catalog and I can’t wait to head back to the store in August. We’re still finishing up our bedroom makeover, and I have my eye on a very sweet headboard. All of our bedroom furniture took a little shift around the room and I can finally add a headboard. Our living room received a little shift and we have some major furniture painting to do in there! I can’t wait to share our projects as we get going next and in the fall.
