At the moment my home is feeling a little drab. Since I can’t run to closest West Elm, Z Gallerie or Anthropologie and buy whatever accessory I want, I have another solution. Flowers!
A year ago, you could find me exploring the flower markets of downtown Los Angeles mostly in preparation for my wedding. However, I really enjoyed learning what’s in season, playing around with arrangements, and the discounted prices for bulk flowers of course! I have to admit I miss flower shopping and I think today is the day to start back up the hobby.
Since I’m new to the bay, I haven’t learned all the great places to purchase flowers. I know there’s a market in San Francisco, but I live in the East Bay, meaning I’d really have to plan out the trip. So before I make the trek across the bay, I think I’ll try my local flower market.

A beautiful bouquet can do wonders for any space. Need an accent color? Buy flowers. Need to fill a space on a table or shelf? But flowers. Want your home to smell lovely? Buy flowers. See my point. Yes they do eventually die, but it can still be a lot more affordable than buying a pricier decor piece. And, if you’re unhappy with your flowers one week you can always change the design for the next.

Maybe I’m ready for spring to start already or just excited about Valentine’s Day. Either way I’ve become slightly obsessed with looking at floral design.
