I have to admit that being married has put a cramp on my decorating style. For any of you who live with guy, you know your decor can be limited. I mean pink is not allowed, anywhere! But, I’ve managed to sneak a little into our home here and there.
All this to say, I’m starting a new series dedicated to sharing my favorite decor that will never ever be allowed in our home. Don’t get me wrong, my husband is pretty lenient (ex: our bedroom). Still, I am left only to dream over certain styles and color schemes. After all I don’t want to embarrass him when his guy friends visit!
So if I were single . . .

I love this turquoise kitchen. It’s not ridiculously feminine and the monochromatic scheme is a wonderful attention grabber. I could definitely see myself baking here. Still it does look a lot like a Tiffany’s box!

This has a wonderful retro look with the aqua/mint and pops of red. Everything about this kitchen feels fresh and happy. But alas it is a little too soft and pastel.

Okay, I may be able to put this in my home one day. Yes it is fabulous and sparkly but if I keep the color scheme gender neutral he may compromise!

I found this amazing photo on Oh Joy a couple months ago. How amazing to live in kitchen with cabinets in every color? So cute, and yet this will never be in my house either. He shouts heck no as he looks over my shoulder at the screen.

Hot pink ceiling? Yes please! I love this strong impact color up top, but I know my husband would never go for this. Well maybe if I let him paint an entire room in 49ers’ colors. Yea that’s not happening!
