As I promised yesterday, I went to my local flower market and purchased a beautiful bunch of white hydrangeas and plum poms. I was so excited to peel off the newspaper and get started making a couple arrangements for our apartment.
Not all arrangements have to be complicated, in fact mine were quite simple. Do make sure you have the right tools, however. Pruners, thorn strippers (I like to use for leaves too), and lovely vases/urns are definitely needed!
I, of course, have a ton leftover from my wedding, many still in my moms garage. We DIY’d our centerpieces for the wedding into cute little bud vases. It was during that process I learned so much about flowers and making arrangements. I definitely want to continue learning and maybe even take a class at Makeshift Society.
Here are the results from my flower play day. . .
I love hydrangeas for our home. I really want to buy these every week now! Do you have a favorite flower for your home? Share in the comments below!
